URGENTLY HIRING — Grounds Maintenance Technician (Charleston AFB)

$22.68/hr • Full-Time • Outdoor Work • Federal Facility

We are urgently hiring Grounds Maintenance Technicians to perform trimming, weed‑eating, edging, mowing, and general grounds upkeep at Charleston Air Force Base . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well‑kept grounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate weed‑eaters, edgers, blowers, chain saws, pole saws, and other landscaping tools
• Trim grass, weeds, and low branches in areas mowers cannot reach
• Maintain clean edges along sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds
• Remove debris, trash, leaves, and fallen limbs
• Blow sidewalks and roadways to maintain a neat appearance
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• 2+ years of landscape, grounds, or tree‑removal experience
  (Personal lawn care does not qualify)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and professional in appearance
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must pass a mandatory Federal background check (no felonies) to obtain base access

Pay & Schedule

• $22.68 per hour
• Full-time schedule with alternating Saturdays
