Overview
Sterile Processing Tech (Certified Sterile Processing Tech) opportunity in Olympia, Washington. This travel assignment starts 07/27/2026 for weeks, with weekly pay ranging from $902 to $968 per week. Shift is 5x8 Nights. Work setting: hospital-based Sterile Processing Main. Travel - temporary assignment with no on-call duties and local travelers not eligible (permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility excluded from travel contract).

Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization processes, including steam sterilization, use of biological and chemical indicators, and verification of results
- Operate washers/sterilizers and conduct high-level disinfection (HLD) tasks; execute immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) as needed
- Assemble sets and trays, prepare case carts, perform sterilization wrapping, and maintain instrument packaging and traceability
- Clean, process, and prepare instruments across general, ENT, OB/GYN, ortho, plastics, and urology specialties as assigned
- Document sterilization data and equipment activity; maintain thorough records in the charting system (EPIC experience required)
- Maintain a clean, organized sterile processing environment and adhere to safety, infection prevention, and quality standards; collaborate with the Sterile Processing team

Requirements
- Certification: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA/IAHCSMM acceptable)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year sterile processing experience; 2 years preferred; first-timers accepted
- References: 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (required during compliance)
- Charting: EPIC charting experience required
- Pre-start onboarding: completion of required modules (~16 hours) recorded in Workramp
- Travel eligibility: not eligible for local travelers; permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility excluded from travel contract; ability to work nights (5x8) and adapt to hospital Sterile Processing workflows
