Job Description

Cass Human Service Zone is seeking a Transporter in Fargo, North Dakota

The Transporter position at Cass Human Service Zone provides transportation assistance to the clients and families served by our Family Services team.

Example Of Duties

  • Transporting children (newborn to teens) to school, appointments, and visits with family.
  • Identifying and installing appropriate car seats to ensure safe transport of children.
  • Lifting children in and out of vehicles and properly securing them into car seats.
  • Navigating area roads and neighborhoods in all weather conditions.
  • Observing and documenting interactions between children and adults.
  • Communicating maintenance needs for assigned Zone vehicle.

Frequent travel across Cass County, and occasional travel across North Dakota is required for this position.

Normal working hours for the Transporter position is between 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.

To succeed in this position, you should be organized, adaptable, and able to manage shifting schedules with ease. Strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse populations.

The ideal candidate will remain calm and professional, even in stressful driving situations, and maintain a polite, respectful demeanor. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to document activities, observations, and share important information with Family Service Team Members to ensure seamless service and support.

Minimum Qualifications

The Transporter position requires a high school diploma or general educational development diploma, valid driver's license, and safe driving record.
