Job Description

The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer for the 2nd Shift to join our team in Longboat Key, FL. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and secure environment for our guests, staff, and property by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding promptly to incidents, and enforcing resort policies with professionalism and integrity. This position is primarily for 2nd shift (2pm - 10pm) Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol the resort premises during the 2nd shift to ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, following established protocols.
• Enforce resort policies and regulations consistently and courteously.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential hazards or security concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
• Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift hours as scheduled.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
• Prior Law enforcement experience preferred, but not required.
