Our client is looking for an Scrum Master for a project and below is the detailed requirement.

Job Title: Scrum Master

Location: Fort Mill, SC

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with 13-14+ years of overall experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams.
• Strong hands-on experience facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Proven expertise in Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, servant leadership, and team coaching to drive Agile maturity and continuous improvement.
• Extensive experience using JIRA for backlog management, sprint planning, sprint tracking, reporting, dashboards, and workflow management.
• Hands-on experience with Confluence for documentation, knowledge sharing, and Agile collaboration.
• Strong understanding of Scrum artifacts including User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Definition of Done (DoD), Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Velocity tracking .
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , Agile software delivery practices, and automated testing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, facilitation, stakeholder management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Scrum certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Experience with additional Agile frameworks such as Kanban, SAFe , and exposure to cloud/data technologies including AWS, Snowflake, DBT, or Fivetran is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement .
• Guide Scrum teams in adopting Agile best practices while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize product backlogs, refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage sprint goals.
• Monitor sprint progress, track team velocity, identify risks, remove impediments, and ensure successful sprint execution.
• Coach team members on Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and self-organizing team practices to improve Agile maturity.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of business objectives.
• Utilize JIRA for sprint planning, backlog management, Agile reporting, and project tracking while maintaining Agile metrics and dashboards.
