Job Title: SAP BASIS Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Packaged/SaaS Application Engineering team is seeking an expert SAP Basis Administrator to oversee critical system stability, landscape optimizations, and platform modernization. This role focuses on optimizing SAP HANA Enterprise landscapes and automating administrative tasks to advance our enterprise application agility. The mission is to ensure seamless performance, security compliance, and robust automation across our core business architectures.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform SAP add-on installations, upgrades, and support package implementations.
• Work with SAP HANA Enterprise environments, including SDA and SDI integrations.
• Configure and generate EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) reports and ensure service data is directed to SAP.
• Execute S/4HANA Readiness Checks and analyze system readiness reports.
• Collaborate with Information Security and ABAP teams on SAP SSL certificate management and automation.
• Design and implement automation for SAP SSL certificate renewals and validations.

TOP 3 REQUIRED SKILLS

• SAP Basis Administration: 10+ years (System architecture, upgrades, and support package implementations)
• SAP HANA Enterprise Environments: 5+ years (Hands-on configuration with SDA and SDI integrations)
• Systems Automation & Scripting: 3+ years (Automating SSL certificates or BASIS operations using Cloud ALM/Solution Manager)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

• Execution of S/4HANA Readiness Checks and report analysis
• SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager validation setup
• Cross-functional collaboration with ABAP and Information Security teams
• Leverage of appropriate AI solutions to expedite solution delivery

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate is a high-level technical subject matter expert (Equivalent Grade 8) who possesses deep, master-level capabilities in SAP Basis environments. They should showcase a forward-thinking mindset focused heavily on operational automation and scripting rather than purely manual administration. This individual must be self-directed, highly communicative with cross-functional technical teams, and capable of operating autonomously in a fully remote capability.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead SAP add-on installations, system upgrades, and support package updates.
• Architect and manage SAP HANA Enterprise environments, integrating data layers cleanly via SDA and SDI.
• Analyze system health trends using EarlyWatch Alert (EWA) protocols and formulate immediate optimization initiatives.
• Drive automated workflows for system validation, monitoring tools (SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager), and automated SSL certificate lifecycles.
