Job Summary Critical Care Respiratory Therapist


- Certifications Required: ACLS BLS NRP PALS RRT; must hold State of WI RT license (6 8 weeks to obtain if not already held)
- Coverage Areas: Critical Care and Med/Surge
- Minimum 2 years RT experience
- Trauma level 2 or 3 experience
- Critical care experience
- First-time travelers and travel duos accepted
- Job Duties:
- Perform ABGs and CBGs in ICUs
- Cover EKG department overnight or as needed
- Assist with intubation (not perform independently)
- May place laryngeal (King) airway during code blue
- Staff Support:
- 24/7 in-house Neonatologists & Hospitalists
- RT system director manager supervisor and lead RT per shift
- Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts (Days: 0630-1900 Nights: 1830-0700)
- 6-week schedule; block scheduling when possible
- Every third weekend; every other holiday
- No regular call; occasional off-shift call (volunteer basis 1-hour response time)
- Dress Code: Any color scrubs; supportive footwear recommended
- Equipment Used:
- Ventilators: Servo U Servo I PB840 (phasing out) Hamilton T1
- Bipap/CPAP: V-60 V-30 Resmeds
- High-flow: Vapotherm
- Other: INOmax Plus Oscillators Cough assist Volara
- Orientation: Express orientation with leadership 3-4 days on the floors
- Other Requirements:
- Must note if previously worked for Marshfield (must have ended employment 6 months before reapplying)
- Must clock in/out at facility
- Local candidates (< 80 miles) receive a reduced rate ($8/hr less)
- Additional Notes:
- No floating requirements
- Hospitalists for med/surg units; intensivists in ICU 24/7
