Job Overview:

SK hynix is looking for an Immigration Specialist who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end visa, work authorization, and compliance processes for foreign national employees and students. The specialist works closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure a smooth, efficient process.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a key point of contact for all immigration matters and visa applications.
  • Works with recruiters on options for new hires and transfers, assesses eligibility, and coordinates with external counsel to ensure timely, accurate case handling.
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date immigration records and employee files
  • Manages audits and I-9 forms.
  • Collects various information for expatriates and processes it into a form suitable for them.
  • Provides guidance on visa applications, employment authorization
  • Documents all critical correspondence and communication with the transferee and partners.
  • Provides clients with updates on visa processing, keeping them abreast of issues and solutions as they arise, so they are always knowledgeable.
  • Monitors changes in immigration law and ensures compliance with DOL and DHS requirements
  • Coordinates with all internal departments/functions to ensure a successful transfer.
  • Supports global mobility to ensure the successful relocation and management of expatriate employees.
  • Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant immigration experience and a good knowledge of US immigration processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Good interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality
