Job Title: HS Dance Team Coach-Marshfield High School Upbeats

Position Description

Extra Duty Contract HS Dance Team

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid card
• Experience as a dance coach at the high school level preferred
• Ability to work successfully with students parents staff and public
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to :

• Works with team members during practices and meets.
• Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages students to participate.
• Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development.
• Works with athletic director(s) in scheduling facilities for practices and competition.
• Coaches and instructs dancers individually or in groups regarding the rules regulations equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Observes dancers during events and practice to determine the needs for individual or team improvement.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior and provides proper supervision of students at all times.
• Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
• Follows established procedures in the event of an injury.
• Models sport-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards dancers officials and spectators.
• Participates in special activities to include Pirate Nights banquets award nights and pep assemblies.

Salary Range: $2896-$6372 depending on candidates experience
