Job Description

HGST is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Capture Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately collecting, entering, and managing data that supports key business operations. Key Objectives

  • Ensure timely and accurate capture of data from various sources.
  • Maintain data quality by performing regular checks and validations.

  • Assist in streamlining data entry processes to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update data into company databases and systems with high accuracy.
  • Review and verify data for completeness and correctness.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in data records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Generate reports and summaries as requested by management.
  • Support data cleansing and migration projects as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to clarify data requirements.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to data handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher is a plus.
  • Proven experience in data entry, data capture, or related roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with database systems and data management tools preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
