Community Senior Center Supervisor

JABA (Jefferson Area Board for Aging)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours/week

JABA is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Community Senior Center Supervisor to lead the daily operations of one of our vibrant senior centers. In this role, you'll create a welcoming, engaging environment where older adults can connect, learn, and thrive.

What You'll Do

Lead Engaging Programs

• Plan, implement, and evaluate creative programs focused on wellness, education, and social connection
• Introduce innovative and intergenerational activities that keep participants engaged
• Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards

Lead & Support Your Team

• Supervise, coach, and mentor staff
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers
• Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations

Build Community Connections

• Develop partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders
• Represent JABA at community events and outreach opportunities
• Promote inclusive and welcoming programming

Drive Impact

• Track program participation and outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and complete monthly reporting
• Use data to improve programs and services

Promote & Grow the Center

• Recruit new participants and expand community awareness
• Support outreach efforts, including social media and communications

Manage Daily Operations

• Oversee day-to-day center operations
• Assist with budget tracking and expense management

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

• A strong leader with excellent communication and people skills
• Creative, organized, and adaptable
• Passionate about serving older adults and building community
• Comfortable using technology for communication and program delivery

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred
• Experience in community programs, human services, or supervision strongly preferred

Technical Skills:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Zoom or similar virtual platforms

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based with local travel
• Active role including leading programs and assisting with meal service
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and support individuals with limited mobility
• Combination of desk work and hands-on engagement
