• Experience with Microsoft Fabric is preferred but not required. If they haven't worked with it, must have strong experience with Azure Data Factory and synapse
• data-warehousing concepts (ETL, staging, fact/dimension modeling).
• Strong with Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse components.
• SQL (T-SQL preferred but still send someone if they don't have T-SQL experience)
• Python scripting

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Azure Data Engineer with 7-9 years of experience in SQL, Python, and Azure cloud services to join our growing data-engineering team.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in SQL and Python , strong analytical skills, and enthusiasm to learn cloud technologies. The candidate will assist senior engineers in developing, testing, and maintaining reliable and scalable data solutions that power business analytics and reporting across Finance, Operations, and Enterprise functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data-pipeline development and migration activities for Legacy Data Warehouse (LDW) to Azure Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse .
• Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation across multiple databases (SQL Server 2022, Azure SQL MI, Synapse).
• Develop and debug Python scripts for automation, file ingestion, and data-quality checks.
• Assist in building Fabric dataflows, pipelines, and lakehouse tables aligned with enterprise data-modeling standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on ETL design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and maintain technical documentation in Confluence/Git.
• Monitor data-load processes and assist in resolving job failures (Zephyr test case execution, JIRA updates).
• Continuously learn emerging Azure technologies (Databricks, Fabric, Power BI) and contribute to process-improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 6 years of hands-on experience with SQL (T-SQL preferred)
• Python scripting

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of Power BI and basic DAX concepts.
