Job Description
Salary: $65,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field, or seven years of equivalent progressive experience
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in Business or an IT discipline from an accredited University, plus three or more years of information security experience
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, MCITP, CISA, MCSE, or GIAC
- Experience with networking and communication techniques, including WANs, LANs, Internet, Intranets, and protocols such as TCP, UDP, and IPSEC
- Familiarity with networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Expertise in at least two technology-related disciplines, including intrusion detection, antivirus, data loss protection, access controls, perimeter security, internet filtering, LDAP systems, Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong ability to create and analyze system logs and network traffic captures from a security perspective
- Knowledge of industry standards including ISO 17799/13335, NIST, COBIT, SANS, etc.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and communicate security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a diverse range of end users
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, handling multiple tasks while being an integral part of a team
- Capability to manage competing priorities and adhere to deadlines
- Availability for on-call duties 24/7 and willingness to work flexible shifts
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Ability to triage customer requests, implement playbook-driven solutions, and initiate possible incident investigations
- Commitment to following procedural documentation
Responsibilities: - Audit and review production system logs for unauthorized transactions and security breaches
- Assist with security risk assessments and disaster recovery/business continuity planning
- Support the development, execution, and ongoing management of information security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Provide analysis and expert recommendations for information security configurations to IT Project Managers
- Perform administrative tasks such as documenting processes and tracking issues
- Promote security awareness initiatives within the organization, including phishing prevention and employee engagement programs
- Communicate detailed information both verbally and in writing to management and colleagues
- Lead projects focused on deploying new security applications and technologies
- Ensure effective use of vulnerability detection, antivirus, malware protection, and anomaly reporting software
- Collaborate and build relationships with various internal departments
- Manage end-user access rights, ensuring adherence to least privilege policies
- Deliver high-level support for the Technology Service Desk
- Process service tickets, routing them to the appropriate teams as necessary
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and developments within Information Security
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all account-related information and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
- Identify new and emerging threats and lead threat hunting initiatives, including phishing detection and response
- Conduct ongoing threat and vulnerability assessments and test information security controls
- Recognize and evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies
- Define new system security requirements and conduct thorough information security reviews
- Design computer security architecture and create detailed cybersecurity designs
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
