Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent some college coursework in accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Experience in the real estate industry is a plus
